ROHIT SHARMA HITS DOUBLE CENTURY

Its the Diwali day in India and Rohit Sharma gave a perfect Diwali gift by scoring double century in ODI. The final ODI between India and Australia at the Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru.Australia won the toss and put India to bat first.Shikar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma started well and provided a century stand yet again.Shikar Dhawan was agressive and Rohit played calmly and played the anchor role.

After Dhawan's dismissal,Virat Kohli came in and was duck out.Virat Kohli was run out because of great mix up in the middle.Rohit was watching the ball while Virat Kohli was looking at his partner and ran half way but the throw came in before Kohli could reach his batting crease again.

Raina and Rohit played well to take India to 183 in the 30th over.Yuvraj stayed in the crease for a short span and it was Dhoni's and Rohit's show completely after that.In Power play too India scored only 22 runs from 5 overs.151 runs were scored in the last 10 over by Rohit and Dhoni.

Rohit Sharma was timing the ball and he was dealing it in sixes. It was almost effortless for Rohit to hit sixes in the long on and mid wicket region.Dhoni hit a helicopter shot and the ball landed on the roof of the Chinnasway stadium and was out of the park.

Rohit Sharma was scoring in boundaries and got his 150 in the 46 th over. With having only 4 over to go Rohit was hitting the ball firmly into the crowd for sixes and boundaries.Rohit Sharma reached his double century in the 50th over.He hit a six to reach the double century in style.Rohit got out for 209 runs with only 3 balls to finish off the and missed out the chance to break Virender Sehwag's record of 219 for the Highest individual score in ODI.

It was the lazy beauty Rohit Sharma's day and is the third person on the planet to get the double century in ODI.The previous persons to get double century were Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag. Now all there double centuries have came from Indians.. Cheers !!!
